Members post the tools they wish existed. Everybody who wants the same thing votes for it, and we build in that order.
The mechanism
Somebody wants a thing that does not exist. They assume it does, look for an hour, find three products that almost do it, and go back to the spreadsheet. Across a network this size that happens a few thousand times a year, mostly to the same twenty things.
So the board is open. Any member posts the tool they wish they had, in one sentence, and anyone who wants the same thing votes for it. We build in the order of demand, put the status next to each request, and say no in public when we will not build something.
The member who asked gets the first version and the right to say it is wrong. Everybody who voted gets it when it works.

The first two are real: one has shipped and one is being built. The rest are the requests we expect, and the counts are illustrative until members are voting.
Shipped: who to meet where you are going
Tell your Superconnector which city you will be in and which week. It comes back with the members worth meeting there, a line on each saying why, and an introduction where you both say yes.
It was a sentence on this board before it was a tab. Business travel is the cheapest thickness there is: you are already in the city, already between meetings, and the dinner costs an evening nobody was using.

Building: from retrenchment to hiring
The first project we are building is a matcher between companies letting people go and companies hiring.
A company making redundancies holds something no job board has: it knows who was good and why. That is worth the most in the fortnight it exists, and then it evaporates. The matcher takes a departing team, with the endorsement of the manager who worked with them, and puts it in front of member companies hiring those skills nearby.
Consent runs the other way from the usual: nobody is listed unless they ask to be, and the endorsement is shown to them first. A person being let go has had enough done to them without a piece of software doing more.
It is being built now, one economy at a time, starting where we have both sides of the market.
What we will not build
Anything that needs data a member has not agreed to share, and anything one member would use against another. Both are easy to build, and both would cost us the reason anybody tells a Superconnector the truth.
And nothing that already exists and works. The board is for the gaps, so a request that three good products already answer gets a no and the names of the three.
